SNjB

i would like to start off this post by sharing a little bit of my feelings towards this change. the end of SNjB, the start of GO. many would emphasise that it is not a closing chapter, but the start of something new. probably something greater? i pray so, having as much faith as i ever can in God that He has a great plan for GO.

As i have shared earlier on with SNjB, the thing i would like to thank God most, is to have SNjB (and YAF), exist till today. i'd admit, SNjB was not the best place to be, with fluctuating attendance (lowest record was 3), occasionally faulty equipment, (not really) enthusiastic people sometimes, but strangely, oddly enough, it is the place i want to be. it is the place i want to be, with hopes and visions of making it the best place to be, for anyone - people who want to know God better, deeper, and develop a relationship with Him. and i think that it is rather amazing that SNjB lived through the years rather smoothly with little to worry about or anything despite financial constrains.. and other stuff. and with this, i strongly believe that God has provided sufficiently for us all these years and that WE (with this i mean both SNjB and YAF), are here for a purpose. i believe that every single person (whether new or old, comm member or not), is here for a purpose.

from the sharing today, i suppose the fact that many of us constantly come back because of fantastic friends here and it being fun is rather evident. however, i would like to take this opportunity to remind each and everyone, that while all these are going on, it is most important, to make the effort to learn and grow spiritually. That at the end of the day, we find that we have grown physically (naturally), mentally and spiritually, like how the older batch of us have, as we look back from the first day in SNjB 4-5years back from where we are today. That we find ourselves knowing this great God who created the heavens and earth alot more than we did before we came. we may get lost easily in the process of serving.. having fun... so keep your focus on God and don't lose track.

okay i feel myself getting naggy and long winded. (can totally imagine a chorus of yes-es) i will end soon, just let me say a few other things :D

I don't know about you, but I am going to remember this date for the rest of my life, because it marks the closure of SNjB after 1x years and the beginnings of GO. Of us.

I can't decide if I am happy or sad or nostalgic or crazy. As usual. ^^

Firstly, I would like to say a biiiiiiiiiiiigggg Hello! to everyone who is reading the first post of GO's new blog. This blog will be maintained by the committee members, Pastor Sharon and our dearest advisors. We might even have "special" bloggers writing in here from time to time!
Secondly, *sings really loudly* On the third day of Christmas my true love sent to me~ 3 french hens, 2 turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree~ Merry Christmas, my fellow GO-ers :)
Thirdly, I desperately need pictures up on this blog, just in case any blue birds happen to fly by our window, and am attracted to our wonderful GO. So if you do have pictures for me, especially group ones, please upload them onto our newly-created Facebook group. If you haven't been invited, please self-invite. Our apologies for neglecting your existence, even on Facebook. NAH KIDDING. ^^
